Literature Text

I saw a large silver wolf in the distance.  It's fur was white as snow, tipped with silver like a beautiful Christmas ornament and outlined in black like the rich, black ink from an expensive pen.  It's warm amber eyes caught mine in the cold, barren field of snow and naked birch trees.  I turned around and saw flames of grey, orange and red.  Though these were not ordinary flames, they were cold.  The kind of cold that bites on your skin, desiring to rip your flesh from your very bones.
"Follow me." it whispered.  I whipped around to see that the wolf tilted it's head and started to trot farther into the crystal plains which seemed to go on for an eternity.  Without question, I followed it.  However, I was soon distracted by how (wherever I was) seemed to welcome me.  I was in the middle of a tundra and I felt a warm comfort that couldn't fully be described in words.  It felt like sitting by the fire with a hot chocolate and blanket around me on a cold winter night.  Beneath my feet, the snow began to melt and revealed a beautiful golden road.  But it wasn't solid gold, it was alien and like nothing I had ever seen before.  The gold was transparent but somehow visible.  I looked up and saw the most beautiful city.  It's walls were of solid gold but they were more sturdy than diamonds.  It shone with brilliance like jasper and it was clear as a crystal.  Just by being in the presence of this world, I felt no pain or suffering.  My knees became weak and I fell as tears streamed down my face.  My body shook uncontrollably in a joyful fear.  I could see a light coming from the city, brighter than any star.  I looked over to see that the wolf had disappeared, however in his place was a man.  He was a little bit shaggy but I knew he was someone important.
Trembling, I asked "Who are you?"
Gently laughing, he responded "Walk with me.."
Nervously replying "Okay..." as I strolled alongside him as a sheep with it's shepherd.  We exited the golden city and found ourselves in the wilderness untouched by greed and power.  Nevertheless, the only sounds to be heard were the rhythmic wind blowing through the trees and the brook of the river close by.  Curiously, I asked "Where are we?"
"This is the place where creation can be with creator, where the lions lie down with the lambs." he smiled.
Utterly confused but too afraid to ask anything else, I kept walking.  We finally reached the top of the highest mountain.  Surprisingly I was not tired but it was relaxing to sit down.  The wolf sighed and sat down next to me.  Eyes locked, he asked me if I knew where I was.  Nervously, I replied "No." and chuckled with embarrassment.
He warmly laughed and said "This is my kingdom and a home to my children."
"No... you can't be... WHAT?"
He laughed with glee and implied "You must go now, tell everyone you meet what you've seen."
"Wait! Will I see you again?!" I cried.
Laughing softly, he said "If you look for me, you will always find me."
I could hear a strange sound as my vision faded to darkness.  The irritating noise of a broken alarm clock shocked me; it was just a dream.
An introduction to the story I may continue to write. The name of the book may/may not change depending on whether I continue or not. I will be editing the text to bold/italicize things... what do you think?
If you haven't noticed, it's a Christian novel. The golden city represents heaven and stuff. :)
I updated it! A major but minor update.

If it is meant to be a Christian novel then I will replace the wolf with a man . God used just one animal once to talk and that with a miracle because after that the donkey was just a regular donkey .
What I mean is to keep the story as God would !

IMHO
Interesting story otherwise !
